About BEaR

Mission Statement

Support the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks in restoration and management of ecologically viable and socially acceptable black bear populations in Mississippi.

Meetings

Statewide meetings are held every February and August. The meetings are scheduled in various parts of the state and anyone is welcome to participate. Updates on BEaR committees and activities, bear research and sightings in MS, bear happenings in surrounding states, and other information is shared. Check our calendar for events in your area.
